GOOD WORK STARTS WITH CLEAR EXPECTATIONS

A clear agreement.
Fair from the start.

What we’ll make together, what it costs, and what happens if your plans change. These are the service terms for Decibel Websites, a service of Decibel Zero LLC.

Effective October 11, 2026 · Version 2026-10-11-v3

One package. Two payments.

The standard website is $1,250 USD: $625 after we agree on your written project plan, then $625 after you approve the design and before launch. Sending a request is free and does not create a paid order. We don’t charge the balance automatically.

A first-website offer, when saved to your request: an eligible new customer may receive a one-time 10% discount on the standard build. That saves $125: your build total becomes $1,125, with $562.50 to begin and $562.50 before launch. The offer must be saved to your verified email and applied to your first request before payment. It cannot be combined with another discount, transferred, or applied to an earlier order, monthly care, taxes, domain costs, or extras. Your request and checkout show whether it applies. A conversation alone does not change an existing price.

Other introductory offers: our website helper may show an individually approved saving for a simple first website, up to $250 off the $1,250 package. The build total is never below $1,000. Its displayed amount and expiry control that offer; a 10% saving is not guaranteed for every request. Sign in and send a new request from the same browser before the displayed expiry to claim an eligible offer. We check your verified email, new-customer eligibility, and standard-package fit. One introductory offer per customer; it cannot be transferred, combined with another discount or price match, or applied to earlier orders, care, tax, domain costs, or extras. The deposit is half the saved total rounded up to the nearest cent; the balance is the remainder. Your saved request and checkout show whether an offer applies. A customer’s chat messages alone cannot approve a price.

Your plan includes up to 5 pages, a layout for phones, tablets, and desktops, one contact form, basic search titles and descriptions, customer-supplied business details and photos, connection of one domain you own, and 2 revision rounds. We confirm the scope, timing, and any applicable tax before payment.

Domain purchase and renewal, paid services, stores, custom booking systems, member areas, and other complex features are separate. Extra work always needs your approval and a quote before we begin. An inquiry or a sample design does not reserve a start date or promise a particular feature.

Improving an existing website: refreshes, added features, and redesigns are individually scoped in a separate proposal before payment or work. We review the current platform, source files, access, and relevant licences first. The new-build package, its discounts and price matching, included revisions, and care do not automatically apply. Sending an improvement request authorizes no work or charge.

Like-for-like price-match guarantee: up to $250 off.

For our $1,250 standard website package, we match qualifying written quotes down to a $1,000 build total. Submit your request in your private website space before opening your first payment checkout. One approved match is available per website. It changes the build price only; the agreed features, two included revision rounds, ownership, and cancellation and refund rights stay the same.

What qualifies: a genuine written quote in US dollars, available to you and valid when submitted, from an independent provider for the same business and comparable work. Agencies and freelancers qualify regardless of size or location. We compare your pages and features within the standard package, responsive design, contact form, content preparation, basic search titles and descriptions, domain connection, revision allowance, delivery requirements, and source files and usage rights after full payment. Different code or design style alone does not disqualify a quote.

Compare the complete cost: include all mandatory setup, licensing, handoff charges, and the full minimum commitment for compulsory paid plans needed to receive and keep a comparable website. We compare those charges on both sides and identify ongoing obligations separately. Optional care, taxes, domain registration and renewal, and separately quoted extras are not discounted by this guarantee. An introductory payment alone is not a complete quote.

What does not qualify: fabricated or altered quotes, self-issued or collusive offers, barter, unavailable prices, or materially different deliverables. DIY software subscriptions and rented websites without comparable source-file ownership are different services. Quotes below $1,000 fall outside the guarantee; you may still ask for a personal review of your options, without a promise to match them.

A clear review: send the provider’s details, quote date, full price, included work, and quote text or a link. Redact unrelated personal or payment information. We aim to reply within two business days. We may ask for missing details or evidence of validity, explain any specific mismatch, and let you clarify it. We will not contact the provider without your permission. We honor requests meeting these published criteria; there is no undisclosed discretion to refuse an eligible match.

Before checkout: new checkout is paused while a quote is pending or needs details. You may withdraw an unapproved request and continue at your saved price. A request cannot change a checkout already prepared; if you have opened checkout, contact support before paying to discuss your options. Matches cannot be applied retroactively or transferred. An approved match is saved to your request, and we agree on the updated plan before payment. Half is due as a deposit, rounded up to the nearest cent; the remainder follows design approval, before launch.

No stacking, and no price increase: the match and a first-build offer cannot be combined. If your saved offer is already lower, you keep it. A conversation or chat response alone does not approve a match. Your private website space and checkout show the saved total and both payment amounts. Later changes to this policy do not revoke an approved match.

A plan we can both follow.

We confirm your start date together. After your deposit and the agreed content arrive, we aim to share a first draft in 7–10 business days. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed completion date. We’ll explain changes to the schedule; missing content, delayed feedback, or an expanded scope may move it.

We launch after you approve the current design, the balance is paid, and the necessary domain access and hosting arrangements are ready. We won’t assume silence means approval.

Two rounds to make it feel right.

Each included revision round is one collected list of changes within the agreed plan. Please review the full draft before sending a round. New pages, features, or a substantially different direction may need a separate quote. Fixing our mistakes never uses a revision round.

Changed plans? We’ll keep it fair.

Before handoff, use the cancellation request in My website or email support@decibelzerollc.com. No phone call is required. The cancellation form immediately places new project work and checkout on hold. Requests by message or email are handled when received; if you have a checkout open, please close it. We reconcile any payment already in progress.

Before work starts: your website payment is fully refundable. We’ll tell you in your project space when work begins.

After work starts, before completion and handoff: we deduct only actual, documented time spent completing work within your agreed scope, at $85 per hour. There is no minimum; partial hours are prorated. The deduction never exceeds what you have paid. Time spent correcting our own errors is excluded. We send an itemized summary and refund the unused prepayment. There is no cancellation penalty or automatic charge for the remaining balance.

After completion and handoff: a change of mind does not automatically make the completed website refundable. Please contact us about errors, any undelivered part of the agreed scope, or other refund concerns; your legal rights remain unchanged.

If we cannot complete the agreed work: we refund the undelivered portion. If our work does not meet the agreed scope, we’ll discuss a correction or an appropriate refund. A customer’s approval does not remove the right to raise an error.

We aim to acknowledge cancellation and refund requests within two business days and issue approved refunds within five business days. Refunds go to the original payment method; your bank usually needs another 5–10 business days to show the credit. We do not deduct our payment-processing fees from a refund. We’ll let you know if a refund needs further attention.

Domain registrations and services you buy directly from third parties follow their providers’ refund policies. Any third-party purchase we arrange requires separate approval, including its cost and cancellation terms, before it is made.

A little help after launch, if you want it.

Optional care is $99 per month, including hosting, HTTPS, backup copies before changes, and up to 30 minutes of small content updates each month. Unused update time does not roll over. We aim to reply within two business days; larger changes need a separate quote.

Care starts at launch only with your separate approval of its start date and billing terms. Selecting an interest in care does not start a subscription. Cancel through your project conversation or support email before the next renewal to stop future charges. Service continues through the period already paid for; an unused content-update allowance is not refundable. Prepaid future periods we do not provide are refunded.

We confirm the hosting end date and help you arrange a handoff. If you choose to leave, you arrange and pay for replacement hosting and future maintenance.

Your business. Your domain. Your website.

You keep ownership of the business content you supply. Please provide accurate information and only send content, photos, and logos you own or have permission to use. You give us permission to use those materials to deliver your project. Please don’t put passwords, card numbers, or sensitive personal information in project messages.

Your domain is registered in your name. After full payment, you receive the website source files and a setup guide, whether you choose care or handoff. You can use and maintain the custom website we created for you; third-party software, fonts, and other assets retain their own licence terms. On cancellation, we identify any completed work covered by the amount retained and provide the corresponding deliverables and usage rights.

We agree on imagery and any curation work as part of your project scope. Your own photos are preferred for your staff, products, and actual work; licensed stock may fill suitable gaps. You review the proposed selections. Stock photos, video, and other licensed assets remain subject to their third-party licence terms and are generally nonexclusive; they do not become exclusively owned by you. We confirm the selection, permitted use, and any cost before purchasing a paid asset on your behalf.

We build to the agreed scope and help with launch. We do not promise particular search rankings, sales, or visitor numbers. Please review your business information and any industry-specific statements before approving your site.

There’s a person here to help.

Ask questions, report a problem, or request cancellation in My website or at support@decibelzerollc.com. Your written project plan and the version of these terms accepted for your payment stay with your project. Later changes do not silently rewrite an existing agreement.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that applicable law gives you. Our privacy notice explains how we handle your information.
